I'm confused - did GS do the porting and you coated, or did you do both porting & coating

GS did neither! I made that mistake once and won't be doing it again.

Gotcha. I've had good luck with GS personally. Always had what I thought was quite high quality products.

I'm considering going the ported manifold/throttle body route when I do my TGVs. Can't decide.

The parts/service/sales aren't bad. They also do a great job porting. But when you have a shop full of tools yourself your not going to send your crap out and have someone else do it. The downside to grimmspeed is the ****ty so called coating.

Yeah I'd love to see some more pics of them. I'm curious how much material was removed and from where.

I start by blasting the part which makes the ports pretty smooth inside then I taper down the opening still keeping the taper but opening it up to gasket size.

Yeah. I feel the same way. I have done a bunch of things that it would have been nice to do a writeup on but I always get carried away and say screw the camera. This time with the brakes I am going to do a solid writeup tho in case anyone else does the same. You'll be hearing from me

Yeah that port/coat job looks good Bo. I too have heard about Grimmspeed's coating not being up to par.

I'd totally advise against it, not because I can do better for less but because it will chip off and will chip off soon. Oh.. And a PC shop in your area can do it for less with a better product
