Well heres an update. We found out that we are having a boy. My wife is due to have him any day now. We are really excited. Maybe he will be another clubwrx member some day. I will make a off topic thread with pics when hes born to celebrate.

These are after 4hrs of sanding. I wet sanded them with 320,400,and 600 grit paper. I sanded both sides and then gave them a wash.

Hopefully the weekend of the 21st it will be nice enough to paint them. I am going to try duplicolor bronze wheel paint. I hope that after all the sanding they look good. I figured I would try something different than the typical black on red look.

Well I got them done. Let me know what you think. Here is how I did them and what I used. I stated earlier about how and what I used to sand them. Before I painted them I used a wax and grease prep solvent. I got it from Napa. I then got 2 packs of index cards a total of 120 of them. That was enought for one side of all 4 wheels at one time.
Heres a pic with the index cards before paint.

So my 2 month old is getting fussy I will have to finish this later sorry. Ok so I am back and going to attemp to finfish this. lol
I used Duplicolor wheel paint in bronze color. I also put a few coats of their clear coat for wheels on also.
Here are the rest of the pics after they were all painted.
Back of one of the wheels

All of the fronts and center caps.

I put the wheel up next to the car to get an idea of how it will look.

I havent figured out what to do about the lugnuts yet. I dont know if I should get new ones that are colored and what color if I do, Or I was thinking of painting the originals and then touching them up after I tighten them down.

I just noticed when looking at the pics. The person that put these tires on the rims before I bought the car put 2 of them on backwards. LOL

Thanks . Once I put them on I will take more pics. The insides turned out ok, but the fronts are really nice overall. I think I will look into the black lugs. Thanks for you OP on that.

These are the best pics I could get. I kept getting alot of glare. I waited till almost dark to take them.

My poor paint. All those white spots are paint chips. I cant believe how bad it is.

Thanks. It wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. I was going to do a write up on it but I just didnt have time. It was harder to get them out than put them back in. I say this because I wasnt sure how they came out. You have to pull on them alittle harder than you think to get them out. Theres alittle extra plastic piece sticking out on the back of the lights that it hangs up on. Heating them to get them apart is easy. I used 2 screwdrivers to get them apart after heated. Painting chrome plastic isnt bad if you remember to use really light coats. I had one spot on the light that wrinkled up. I had to sand that off and touch it up. Thats my fault tho. I used extra silicone sealent when I reinstalled the 2 halves to be sure they sealed nice. It really is an easy process. I would do it again and knowing the few little things above would make it alittle easier if I ever had to do it again. If you were to do this and had any questions. Feel free to ask on here or pm and I will answer the best I can. I used tips from Vez and this DIY to do the lights.

I also replaced the turn signal and corner marker bulbs with these.

Just a note, are those tires assymetrical instead of directional? If just noted as outside without a clear arrow... It will look like two of them are backwards.

The stock sti dunlops and my re11s are like that. Annoys me to no end. Can rotate them in an X though at least :-).

Or they are directional and I'm dumb.
