Both the fuel rails and the headers get the fingers pointed at them a lot. There are tables in the tune to add a bit more fuel or ignition advance per cylinder to account for this. When adding fuel rails and/or more so EL headers I would reduce the differences between them, if not eliminate them personally.

Hey Mr. Sinister... I know you are still working on your car but had a question in reference to your tires...

How you like the Hankook Ventus V12's?

Don't like em. They're a waste of money in my opinion.

I disagree. They're not the most performance-oriented tire, but for $100/corner, they aren't bad. Soft sidewalls, but they have decent dry handling, and great wet handling.

I bought my first set based on the reviews from a lot of Porsche guys that were running them. I wouldn't have bought them again except my fronts were still good (according to the tire shop idiots) so I got a set of rears to match. The fronts turned out to be too worn for the diff to handle it so I had to get those too.

I made a very high speed run with them today when I bought a snowmobile and the guy asked if we could go for a spin. It had rained lightly just before and the pavement was wet everywhere and they just wouldn't grip well. Yes wet pavement from a light rainfall is the most slippery stuff out there short of snow and ice. I'd say their wet grip is at very best 80% of what I'd expect from good Continentals or Michelins.

I still think in terms of value for performance they're good, but for not much more money I think there are much better options out there like the BF Goodrich KDW2. I haven't yet had my Direzza Star Specs mounted on my STI to evaluate those but I'll post my rankings of the different high performance tires I've tried once I do.

Kevin, when are you ever going to give up on that hunk of junk and just start putting your money into a real car?
