It does have a hole. But I am going to get some tail light tint and spray the emblem to black it out but still be able to see it. I did this to mt 08 STI and it looks pretty good.

do you have a pic from your 08 emblem? ive been interested in doing the same. also, you should get the carbon fiber cover for that chrome piece on your trunk and relocate the STI emblem about 6" south

Just got though with the emblems today. I didn't do the one on the front grill but I did all the rest.

I have to come back and touch this one up around the top of the T and the crossed hatched area just has water in it from where I washed the car.

So you used tail light tint on all those parts including the strip over the license plate? What specific spray did you use (brand/type/etc)?

Looks great. I think I'll have to do that to my car. I don't need to spend the dough on the carbon fiber piece to cover that strip on the trunk if I can do all of those pieces with one can of spray.

I'm wondering whether it would be good to do a couple of coats of clear coat too.
