This is a discussion on My WRX build within the Builds forums, part of the Tech & Modifying & General Repairs category; I'm not a fan of body kits, etc.. but when a 35r is involved, it can work....

I used to have CF front and rear styling but that was the previous owners doing. It is just a little too JDM for me, I am more of a pro-stock/sleeper styling fan.

The slotted fenders, is that purely esthetic?

Your build looks great man, keep up the good work!!

At one time I was going to do the whole car in carbon but I am very happy with the paint choice I made.
As for the fenders. The vents let the trapped air out from behind the rear of the wheel and fender. I have more in store for that coming up this week. Just like the back of my car. I do not run the bumper beams so that the vents on the back can channel the air out. With the bumper beams installed that is blocked. So at that point its all looks....

    Thanks, Its almost done!

She's looking awful pretty. I really like the look of the wheels in the wheel well.
