I actually like the north route better, through Winter Park, Granby, and Steamboat Springs. It's less developed and more twisting state highway than I-70.
The Columbia River Gorge is cool too.

glenwood isnt very big for a hot springs nor is steamboat,
but when ever im traveling back home to denver and need to get some shut eye i always always stay in glenwood
